Relay for Life 2016
"A Journey of 1000 miles starts with one step" -Lao Tzu
Relay is a chance for the local community to recognise and celebrate local cancer survivors, patients and their carers, to honour and remember loved ones lost to cancer and to raise money to help save more lives. SHECWA joined the local community in taking part in Cancer Council's Relay for Life 2016.
SHECWA raised funds through donations, by hosting a Teddy Bear and Friends display and morning tea, and by providing the soup and serving in the soup kitchen, whilst taking it in turn to do laps around the track.
